What exercises will help you continue to lose weight?
The answer to that is aerobic and strength training exercises.
Aerobic activity is anything from walking to sprinting, swimming and cycling. It gets the blood moving and the heart rate up. Extra benefits to aerobic activity is that it “exercises” your diaphragm and your heart - they’re muscles too after all! So your overall health will improve as well.
All aerobic activity burns calories while you’re moving and there’s also an “afterburn” period where you continue to burn calories while your body is still cooling back down.
Strength training exercises can be body weight exercises like planks, lunges and squats; pin-loaded equipment in the gym provides weight training to specific muscle groups and can be set from light weights for beginners through to heavy for the more advanced.
Strength training tones muscles and muscle burns body fat 24 hours a day!
